PREACHING

I shall continue my preaching journey unapologetically and unashamedly.   Thus, committing myself as an offering to my preaching brothers and sisters who share in the burden and blessing of the preached Word.

It was in 1991 that Dr. Moss was called to the ministry and was later ordained by the late Reverend Charles T. Smith, pastor of Shiloh Baptist Church, the Fourth District Association and the Baton Rouge Ministerial Association.  Thus, she became the first female minister to be ordained at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church where she served as Minister of Evangelism and Christian Education.

Dr. Moss is pastor at St Alma Baptist Church of Lakeland, Louisiana.  It was a historic moment in the life of this 134 year old Baptist Church on February 17, 2008 when she became the first female elected to the position of pastor of this traditional Baptist Church and the first female ever installed by the 133 year old Fourth District Baptist Association.  To God’s credit, Dr. Moss led a congregation of 15 members to now over 188 members within a three year timeline with over 15 active ministries and 12 paid and volunteer staff.

A call to preach is a call to prepare. We invite you to join us as we journey toward making the preacher and making preaching better. Preachers who are committed to preaching, join us as we hone our craft. If this is you, contact me today.
